Bell Mobility Wins Tim Hortons WiFi Contract

Bell Mobility has won a deal to provide wireless network services to more than 2,000 Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada.

At least 90 percent of the restaurants in Canada will have the free high-speed WiFi service by the time students head back-to-school, noted the coffee giant.

Testing of the service began six months ago at a few Toronto restaurants plus locations in Kelowna, B.C., Red Deer, AB, St. Catharines, ON, and Barrie, ON. Bell Mobility’s service tested best.

“We tested different scenarios with different providers just to see what kinds of options would be best for us. We wanted to go obviously with a national provider that would be able to service all of our restaurants. Bell came out a winner,” said Alexandra Cygal, manager of public affairs, in a National Post report.
